Having worked for multiple years in fast food myself and having multiple friends employed at Chick-fil-a, I cannot stress enough how important cleanliness is. I can also say that Chick-fil-a does an amazing job of keeping the restaurant clean and making sure all food and health codes are followed. Unfortunately for McDonald’s, saying it was dirty would be an understatement. While cleanliness does vary from location to location, the majority of Chick-fil-a ’s do an excellent job of maintaining a nice restaurant.…
Chic Fil A is does indeed have a strong focus on their operators, as the company is famous for the quality of it’s franchises. Every year twenty thousand people apply to be a Chick Fil A operator, yet only seventy are accepted. Why do so many apply every year? It could be that Chic Fil A will pay the three million dollars necessary to open a new store and get it operational. The operator only needs five thousand dollars to be eligible to start.…
Chick-Fil-A is the largest quick-service chicken restaurant chain in the United States, however CFA is limiting it self from reaching the full capacity of other chicken based fast food restaurants. Although they have a solid base here in the U.S. a company so successful could greatly benefit from a more diverse outlook. Since 1986 the company has experienced gradual growth and is currently concentrating its US expansion to Western and Northeastern states. As of now, the company has no intentions of international expansion. CFA is also a Christian based company, and is very public about its beliefs; In fact it is the basis for which they attribute their success, and excellence.…
The weaknesses are analyzed to formulate how Chick-fil-A can sustain the competitive advantage. The only place where Chick-fil-A didn't rank highly was in speed of service. The average wait time at Chick-fil-A's drive thru is 4 minutes and 16 seconds, which is about 31 seconds longer than the average drive-thru wait time (Peterson, 2016).” Lean manufacturing process must be used in order for Chick-fil-A to improve and remain competitive. Chick-fil-A can benefit from utilizing a lean manufacturing principles.…

As stated earlier all of the Chick-Fil-A’s restaurants are closed on Sunday, so the employees can practice their religious faiths if they choose to do that. Cathy’s values are apparently clear yet his restaurants accepts all customers who enter to do business. I believe Cathy wants the world to know what he values and sees as moral and ethical.…
Steven Greanhouse a journalist and the author of Rare Vote Set on a Union in Fast Food, says “Jen Thompson, a mother of two who earns $7.75 an hour as a sandwich maker said… We’re tired of getting treated like garbage. We don’t get paid well, and we get horrible hours.” This quote is trying to examine the feeling a fast food worker. People should treat others the way they want to be treated.…
My True Love I thought falling in love was only in the movies and that it would never happen to me, especially not this fast. But when I am here breathing the same air I get butterflies in my stomach and I fall in love over and over again. I have never felt guilty when I sneak off to visit, chiefly at night. They say true love has no distance and I buy into the same thing, but with food.…
“Hello, may I take your order?”, spoke the lady through the drive through speaker. “Yes, I would like a small Cheeseburger please.” “Would you like a side of cholesterol and a large cup of a sugar induced coma to go with that?” Essentially when ordering food from a branch of the fast food industry, this is what we are ordering. “The rise in the fast food industry has been linked to rising cases of obesity.…
When we walked in to the union there are different varieties of smells all around me. People are sitting down talking and eating you also see lines to the left and right. When I took look over at the empty space where Chick Fil A was I see KoFusion. At that point I want to just take off running to KoFusion like I was a little kid at Disney world. As Soon I walked up to the restaurant there was a long line, that happy feeling that I had went away fast very fast.…
During my time in high school, I have realized what I am truly passionate about. When I’m not at school or working at Chick-fil-A, my time is almost entirely devoted to band. I am also always looking for ways to create a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly space. Environmental awareness and music make me the happiest in my life. I’ve spent roughly 1,300 hours taking part in my high school marching band program.…
Not only does it happen in just fast food work environments, but the whole restaurant industry. The reason why it happens more commonly than other jobs is because workers are separated from their normal social life and roles while regularly working nights, holidays, and weekends; coworkers tend to bond closely to other co-workers in these situations. ( Chia-Jeng and Kleiner, 2001, p.197) The food industry is one of many jobs where sexual harassment occurs the most.…
