During my time in high school, I have realized what I am truly passionate about. When I’m not at school or working at Chick-fil-A, my time is almost entirely devoted to band. I am also always looking for ways to create a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly space. Environmental awareness and music make me the happiest in my life.
I’ve spent roughly 1,300 hours taking part in my high school marching band program. I’ve also spent many hours participating in concert band. The William Blount High School Band has not only helped me grow as a tuba player, but the band has also helped me grow as a person. I’ve learned how to interact better with people because of band; I’ve also learned how to be an effective leader by being in the William Blount High School Band. I auditioned to be a drum major at the end of my sophomore year. Thankfully, I was awarded the position of pregame drum major. Since I was a small child, I've always loved helping the planet that we live on. My passion for sustainable practices and conservation has inspired me to pursue a career in natural resources and sustainability. I also believe that there needs to be an even bigger push to show the public how endangered our planet is. I always do my best to educate myself and others about the greenest way to live. Although I am just one person, I believe my influence can lead to a greener society My love for music and the environment motivates me to become a better person; self-improvement allows me to do the best job I can regarding musical performance and environmental/sustainability advocacy. My passion for music and the environment has taught me that I can impact the world as a single person.
