Housing in the Metro Washington DC area is not cheap, the average 2-bedroom apartment runs $1500 a month which is substantial considering us interns are unpaid. This puts finding housing with other interns nearly impossible for our budget. On top of the financial struggles this summer, I am also trying to foot the bill of college. Although my parents are helping me, I am still responsible for the majority of my schooling. As my sister also enters college this Fall it will put more stress on my parents financially in turn will put me more responsible for a bigger part of my college. With not being paid this summer for an internship that will help me obtain my dream job once I graduate puts me in a very sticky situation. I question myself on a multitude of things such as; is it worth it, how will I pay for it, and can I financially make it work? This is my dream to help change the face of women’s professional sports, and find equality for players and organizations alike. By using this opportunity as a stepping stone to finding my dream career in the front office of a professional sports team, I hopefully in the future can help change the view on women’s professional sports, and
