Care Coordinator: A Career As A Care Assistant

I felt a Care Coordinator could have been helpful in my experience because my wait time was stressful plus I felt neglected. Wait time can be such a headache, either in Urgent Care or seeing your Primary Provider for all patients. Sometimes I notice for patients who have languages barriers the process is not as smooth as it should be. For someone like myself who feels they can navigate through the system I still felt this wait time and feeling neglected was unacceptable. This has always been a concern of mine due to the patience we serve that speak different languages. As I look around the waiting room I wonder what people who speak others languages are thinking regarding this process which this should never be a question for anyone to ask themselves. This should be tackled on a bigger schedule from management to help patient navigate through this system that is created for English speaking people. If a Care Coordinator could be emplaced this could possibly be the answer for assisting patience and organizing a more structured environment. A Care Coordinator has access of helping patience navigate where business office and other departments may not have time due to time restriction. This Care Coordinator position will create flexibility for those departments who are unable to assistant for long periods of time helping patience understand and navigating …show more content…
