1.Provide specific examples regarding your progress in the ability to plan care for one patient during the clinical shift. How did you approach your assessment of the patient’s needs? How did you prioritize the patient’s needs?
During my first two shifts, I was not too involved with care planning. Most of the time my preceptor just assigned tasks for me to do. However, I was much more involved with care planning the following shifts. I started to take charge on what should be done first for my patient and if my preceptor approves with my planning, I would proceed with the plan. I use the EHR to obtain information about patients’ background, diagnosis, medications, and orders. For care planning and assessing the patient’s needs, I mostly focus
