During my first two shifts, I was not too involved with care planning. Most of the time my preceptor just assigned tasks for me to do. However, I was much more involved with care planning the following shifts. I started to take charge on what should be done first for my patient and if my preceptor approves with my planning, I would proceed with the plan.
