She is one of the most empathetic, kind, and exceptional humans I have encountered in my 14 years of teaching. I teach Rachel in my 8th grade advanced ELA class. Her academics, character, innate curiosity, intrinsic motivation, ethical standards, and unwavering desire to give back, have put Rachel in a class of her own. In fact, for the first time in over 25+ years, the eighth-grade team created a brand new end-of-the-year award for our graduation awards assembly.…

This paper will examine what happened to the organization to bring about the drastic turnover in volunteers, and then discuss future changes that can be made to the organization to better both the nonprofit and the community it serves. In the early 1980’s, the staff of a health ministry in West Philadelphia noted that many of their patients were utilizing the emergency room as a form of primary care. To address the growing issue, a voluntary medical assistance program known as the Mercy Health Plan was created. The concept of this plan was a connection between members and a primary care physician that would encourage consistent health care rather than waiting until something became so severe it required emergency care. This plan continued to grow and in 1996 formed a partnership with AmeriHealth to become the AmeriHealth Mercy Health Plan. Since then, the organization has continued to grow and expand to today where the plan serves recipients in various counties of Central…

I expect you agree that the health & wellbeing of all those employed and/or volunteering in the WPCS association is a Risk Factor that the president needs to be mindful of and to not allow any situation to continue where it is obvious, or the president judges that, due to a person being employed at or volunteering at WPCS, they may be putting their own health & wellbeing at risk. My attitude is that all those who volunteer & work at WPCS should be able to do so in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that certainly should not put anyone's health & wellbeing at risk. This is probably covered in one of the P&P's but to me it's common sense. A WPCS person who finds their association with WPCS stressful not only puts their own health & wellbeing at unnecessary risk but also potentially can adversely effect others associated with the association plus potentially adversely effect overall association moral.…
