The benefits of making sure that equality and diversity procedures are followed in a business environment for the employee can consist of improved job satisfaction due to sense of needs being valued or ability to meet basic cultural requirements if policy includes flexibility for religious holidays/observances and also increases the chance of open competition for opportunities. The benefits of making sure that equality and diversity procedures are followed in a business environment for the overall organisation can consist of a source of insight into culture of target populations and also helps to maintain morale and motivation of the workforce leading to increased quality of product/output.
