Big Bison Resort would benefit from positive reinforcement, as this will continue to increase the likelihood that employers are doing their very best for the company and giving great customer service. Positive reinforcement is defined by encouragement of good employee behaviors, to promote the repetition of those good behaviors. The company can apply the principles of reinforcement more effectively by managing rewards and punishment. To use reinforcement, the reward system has to support the firm’s strategy, defining people’s performance in ways that purse strategic objectives. There are several examples of things that should be quality work instead of rushed work, working together improves your ability to manage mistakes, and to provide feedback to one another. Employers, who implement employee reward programs usually do so as an expression of appreciation for their most valuable resource, human capital. Employee reward programs come with disadvantages as well, such as promoting an unqualified employee. Eliminating the program isn’t the solution. The employees would better appreciate the equity of the employee of the month program, if they didn’t nominate the same person each month and the nominees were not closely associated with top level management. Equity is assessing how fairly they have been treated according to outcomes and inputs. In that situation the employees will perceive this program as unfair, which will lead the employee to be less motivated, which will lead to less productivity. Removing these inequalities would have a positive effect on employees because they are going to do their best in order to receive the reward. In my opinion, rewards are the best way for motivation. My job sets goal to achieve, and if you get the most goals achieved then you get a reward. It makes working more fun, and competitive, which keeps the job
