A1: Organisational design is the way by which an organisation should be structured and operated by its member, it’s both a plan and process.

Element One: Structure: It’s the main part of organisational design. It shows us how the structure is in an organisation is. E.g. in flat organisation the structure is very small.

Element Two: Task: Its helps organisation to achieve its goal on time. Task is different in each level, e.g. workers have a task to complete the given work in a given period. Where CEO has different task.

Element Three: People: They are the most important resource in an organisation, they help in all the division of an organisation, without them there is no organisation, e.g. HR, supervisor.

Its unwritten rules that define how the work is really done which depends on attitude, beliefs, etc. Element Five: Decision and reward system: Decision making happens at all division of an organisation. Managers at all levels needs authority to make decisions on issues that directly affect their groups.
Reward system: It’s a critical part of an organisation. People need to be rewarded for the works they do like bonus, etc.
Q3:
A3: Organisational design is very important for an organisation it helps in good customer service, increased profitable, reduces operating cost, etc. An organisation structure organizes priorities hierarchically by means of identifying tasks to a group realizing an end goal. It’s also help everyone know who does what. To have an efficient and properly functioning business, you need to know that there are people to handle each kind of task.

A4: As I work in warehouse the supervisor was said by his superior to change the prices of some product as they were high compared to other competitor’s. So we had to change the prices of the products to continue selling the products. So these were the goals warehouse achieved its organisational goal.

A2: Advantage: 1: There is less burden on people as the work is divided in various groups. 2: Divisional organisation allows to build a common culture and unity. Disadvantage: 1: They have less interaction with other employs. 2: It requires more cost and expenses.

A3: (A): I have chosen Simple organisation. It means the organisation is very simple as there are very less employs and the structure is very simple.

1: There is a direct line of authority from superior to the subordinate level through an broken chain,
