An organizational structure is the way in which an organisation’s activities are divided, organized and coordinated. It provides stability and helps organization members work together to achieve goals. Division of work, also called job specialization, is based on the observation that productivity increases when tasks are specialized. Jobs are defined by dividing the work can be can be logically grouped into departments depends on how wide a span of management control is feasible for an organization’s managers.
