People should not normally be allowed to own guns. Guns should not be obtainable to the normal citizen for many reasons. One is because of crime. Crime is, obviously, related to guns in many ways. Most murders, and other serious crimes, have direct links to guns. By not allowing people to own guns, it would be more difficult for criminals to obtain them. There are people who argue that only criminals would then have guns, thought that is an incredibly ridiculous idea. Police and military are there for a reason. Guns should not be allowed to be owned by the standard citizen.

Another reason why people shouldn't be allowed to own guns is because of accidents. Guns are meant to be killing machines. Giving your average Joe a gun
