The tint is used to have the American audience connect to the photo and to have them picture themselves in that position. The target audience is Americans in general, especially teenage to younger adults. This generation is one of the unhealthiest eaters the world has ever seen, and they are all too lazy to exercise and do something about the problem, so they are all becoming obese. Then, because the man is facing the other direction with a shadow over his head, I connected it to my topic of how these obese Americans are turning away from the blame of becoming obese and trying to pin it on the fast food companies. From that, I thought of the slogan of “Don’t turn your back on who really to blame for your own obesity: you”. I made it a white font so it would really stand out from the black background and I made the “you” at the end underlined, a bigger font, and in red white and blue font in order to look more patriotic, stand out more, and tie it to the American …show more content…
I thought about how these people aren’t thinking about what they are eating and at times are often uneducated about what they are putting in their bodies. So I made the motto “Think before you eat”. I again made this writing in all capital letters in order to make it stand out and look important and I put it at the bottom of the flier so the reader would see it after they read the other stuff. It would kind of leave them thinking as they put it down. Furthermore, I made a hashtag that reads “#U-R-RESPONSIBLE-4-U” which is hinting at the fact that no one is to blame except for themselves for how they have become. I placed this carefully right on one of the red stripes from the American flag tint on the man. This is also strategically placed because the man in the picture has a plumber’s crack showing and it draws your eyes to that point and makes it hard to look away.
