The advertisement features a red and yellow background, large text saying “AWESOME” that’s centered directly below the amazing looking burger. Words like “Angus burger”, “deluxe”, “demands your full attention”, and “freshest” are smaller and lower on the ad. The illustration makes a powerful proclamation about my hunger needing to be satisfied. While the central image shows the burger in all its magnificence, the background enhances the central image because red and yellow are known to make people hungry. The ad includes words as well as images, these words imply that their burger is the best in the world and worth far more than what you paid for it. The goal of McDonald's is for costumers, hungry or not, to buy their food. The graphic was very effective because even though I just ate, I'm already hungry for a McDonald’s burger. Having a color scheme that’s red and yellow uses psychology to make people feel the way they want them to, hungry. According to Color Psychology, “It’s why red is the most prominent color in fast food logos –red stimulates appetite and express the speed at which you will be served your meal (the real fast in fast food). And it’s why you will have trouble eating food that is blue, or should I say why so few foods sold are blue in color. And even then, it's odd. …show more content…
By using “AWESOME” in all caps and the largest font they make sure children can understand it. By having a description of what it is in smaller text for faster teen and adult readers, “Angus burger”, “deluxe”, “demands your full attention”, and “freshest” make readers believe they’re getting a good deal, after all false advertisement is illegal right? While some words are banned if used improperly, freshest, deluxe, and awesome are not because how do you test if they’re true; after all it’s just an
