For example if we focus on the 1998 Legend of Zelda, if you left Link idle for too long, he would start moving around and making gestures to signify his moods. We also see how Ellie reacts when Joel doesn't do anything; she starts making remarks and starts to get irritated. One particular moment when Joel shines a torch in her face, we see her squinting and finding it difficult to see her. These small features in the game bring the characters to life even when the game isn’t being played. The characters have their own personalities, making them more life like, along with the CGI and graphics in their animation.
