How Video Games Have Changed over Time
Video games have changed massively in almost every way since the original video games to the new ones. One of the main reasons is just content of the game. How much stuff is in the game, what you can do in the game. The first videogames were only text based adventures. Which means there would be something on top like, you see a dark cave. Then there would be three sentences like, go into the cave or keep walking. The entire game game would just be stuff like that, and each of the options had a different outcome. Now its games with huge maps where you can go anywhere in the map and you dont get only like two options anymore. One of the first video games that wasnt text, was just a 2d ping pong game, there was nothing to keep count, or highscores or anything like that. If you scored a point it would reset and you play again.
Another huge reason video games have changed is because of the graphics. Graphics are what you see in the game, the illustrations. They make the graphics with pixels. the graphics of games went from 2D games made with like twenty pixels, to 3D games made with trillions of pixels. Consoles made a difference because consoles, back when games were new did not have a lot of processing power. Processing power is like how good the graphics can look, without your computer going really slowly, or lagging a lot. Conses have also changed because of the amount of buttons on the controllers. The oldest game consoles only had two buttons. Now new controllers have like four buttons, two triggers, four directional buttons, and two joysticks. With all of the new additions to the controllers games could add a lot of more controls that you that you can use, instead of just 2
