Video games have a special place in our lives. What were once flickering black and white blocked images on a television screen are now detailed beings with actions we experience on an emotional level. Some games now tell stories and evoke emotional responses similar to the finest literature or theater. For instance, Mass Effect 3, one of my favorite third person RPG game series. Towards the end of the game, as the emotional tugging piano music played, faces of the main character's friends Flashes by, leaving you sad and depressed in a good way, falling in love with the characters throughout your journey in the game. Video games are perhaps the fastest developing form of artistic expression ever devised. The artistry and techniques used by game creators continue to expand and evolve. Restrictive legislation would curb the freedom of artists and stop valuable stories and content from ever being shared. 


First and foremost, I love playing all types of video games, but most frequent game I would say I play the most would be call of duty. Let's say I set up a class in this FPS game, with a shotgun, an RPG, C4, and a flashbang. The whole point of this class is to get as close to the enemy as possible and shoot them in the face with a shotgun, or in some cases have them get as close to me as possible and bait them in, and then shoot them in the face with a shotgun and if their out of range I would throw my C4 at them or I would shoot my RPG at them and make them go boom. Shigeru Miyamoto quoted this "video games are bad for you? That's what they said about rock 'n' roll." Rock 'n' roll was in this predicament, getting its name demonized, but now loved by everyone. The same will come for video games. So I will continue to enjoy my violent video games without going on a rampage and killing a bunch of
