For some individuals, it means correcting a mistake and for others, it means murdering an innocent developing infant. To have an abortion means to end a pregnancy to avoid giving birth to a baby. It’s a highly questionable issue to debate which concerns the rights of a woman to make her own decisions. She takes a pro-choice position and comprehends why her patients chose to abort. It shows the variety of different women whom she deals with on an everyday basis and their own personal stories. To support her argument, she discusses how each patient felt both mentally and physically. Although she supports abortion, she is hopeful that this won’t be necessary for the future, however, it is sadly acceptable today more than ever. In Sallie Tisdale’s story, she emphasizes several feelings considering that her daily job is not straightforward and simple to perform. She is very understandable of the tough decisions that these women had to make and comprehends that it is the best of them. Although Tisdale makes some great points, she relies too heavily on pathos and does not show enough unbiased support. There is a much deeper and meaningful meaning behind having an abortion. These helpless women seek the support and guidance of nurses who perform it. Every pregnant woman has the choice to weather abort or keeps the baby. There are a few important reasons why they could choose to abort the fetus. However, they should take in concertation of how their decision could impact and affect those around them. Abortion is more than just ending someone’s pregnancy. It means that you are ending someone’s precious life and not taking into consideration of the baby’s life but yours. There are several ways that people can prevent an unwanted pregnancy. Not to mention that the procedure to abort is excruciating and significantly distressing for many of the patients.
