There are many different roles are responsible for the functioning of a research team. Each member brings a unique set of skills and attributes that contribute to the success of a project. In this paper, the role that will be examined is the research coordinator and what attributes will ensure the success of a research project. To understand the role of a research coordinator, I was provided with an interview transcript for analysis. The purpose of this paper is to examine an interview of a research coordinator and be able to extrapolate data that will give an understanding of the role of a research coordinator.
Summary
The objective of the interview that was conducted was to determine what the role of the research coordinator entails. The interview transcript began with the research coordinator explaining the qualifications needed to be successful as a research coordinator. The respondent emphasized the importance of understanding research methods, data analysis, and statistics through undergraduate and graduate education. The respondent emphasized the concepts of organizational skills, patience, adaptability, excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team, time management, are qualities that a research coordinator should embody.
