Lindsay was an RN for internal resource team with Unity Point in Des Moines. As a float nurse she cared for patients with various neurological deficits. She floated to all adult, non-emergent floors at Methodist, Lutheran, and Methodist West. Neurological deficits are often a comorbidity in the adult population she see’s.
Lindsay said she saw often that the elderly suffered from dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, delirium. She floated to the trauma and neuro floor often and saw traumatic brain injuries, c-spine injuries, and brain tumors.
