APA: The Importance Of How To Write A Letter

The APA basic touched on the importance of what should be cited, when to cite, how to cite within a paper and how to complete with a reference list.

When writing a paper it is important to know what should be cited. For example, if the information an original thought it should be cited and the only thing that doesn’t need to be cited is if the information being utilized is common knowledge.

Example of common knowledge would be the northern lights can be seen if Alaska.

The necessity of citation, gives the writer credit, provides credibility, offers access to where the information comes from and prevents plagiarism.
