The publication helps with credibility because it allows the reader to acknowledge where the source is from and depending on where the article was published, it can help the reader determine if what is in the article is credible or not. Having the authors name with the article, although is an obvious element to have, helps also. From having the name, one can do their research on the individual to see if the author has the qualifications to be making their points. Footnotes helps because they are used to further explain parts that may not be clear in the texts as well as cite resources used in the reading. Lastly, the dates, specifically years, helps since it can inform the reader if the reading is outdated or not.
