A Good Teacher Should Care about Students
1 The role of teacher is often formal and ongoing, carried out at a school or other place of formal education. Students come to school to get some knowledge from teachers. But can teachers only impart to them the knowledge and do not try to care about the student? The movie called 《Freedom Writers》 which was adapted from a true story might give us some answers. The heroin called Erin Gruwell was a new, excited school teacher leaved her hometown to teach at Woodrow Wilson High School in Long Beach. He let his students find the meaning of life rather than learn that from books. Finally all his students appreciate it. It was the movie which earned the Oscar. As we can see, the teachers who can move their students even someone else all had big effects on his students. They have changed their students ’lives into better lives. 5“Development, with age, of distinctive behavioral styles and increasingly complex self-understandings”. If the teacher doesn’t teach his students how to distinguish what is right and what is wrong, sometime some students might develop into wicked guys.
