In comparisons of the two amendment’s, both amendments discussed the topics of citizenships, voting rights, and the requirements needed for the South readmittance. For one would be the discussion of the debt due to the effect of the Civil War. The simulation’s amendment did not converse over the situation of the debt needed to be paid as well as the whether or not were there to be any emancipations for the once white slaveowners. In the real amendment there was a section where it discussed such notions. Explaining that such emancipation for the blacks being freed would not be given and refused to take on the Confederates debts. Another difference is the administration of previous Confederate soldiers. In the simulation it stated that Confederate soldiers would have to swear oath into making sure that these soldiers would not harbor such inimical opinions. While in the real amendment it prevented former Confederate leaders from holding office or civil positions.
