Secrets The book ‘six impossible things’ by Fiona Wood is about a boy named Dan who is going through a lot of problems in his life such as ; him finding out his dad is gay, and with that having to move schools and living on an extremely tight budget. The topic I will be discussing is ‘secrets’. The body will be about my thoughts on secrets, and wether it's okay to keep them or not. Another thing that will be discussed is about the quote that dan says ‘what she doesn't know can't hurt her’, and if it's true in my opinion or not. This paragraph is talking about secrets being okay. In some situations. In some situations keeping a secret can be okay, an example is if someone is being talked about behind their back. You shouldn't tell them because it may hurt their feelings but maybe you could handle the situation a different way. An example in the book is dan not telling his mum the truth about Janie and Estelle going to the social. In the end it works out because dan gets to kiss estelle and that's what he wanted. Here is a quote “and I can't decide if I want estelle to make it to the social or not”.…

Disney movies are not so G-rated as many assume. Disney movies portray secrets that are hard to catch while watching. There are regulations to pass in order for movies to be G-rated. Somehow Disney producers can get movies to meet the regulations with having all those secrets in the movies. Those secrets hidden in Disney movies have to do with hetero- romantic love and heterosexiness. I argue that today’s definition of hetero- romantic and heterosexuality is way different than years ago. Today…

Number Three, A Commentary The other night I had this dream: I was walking slowly through a forest, and I was completely alone. This forest was covered in a thick, deep, emerald blanket of moss which, naturally, felt like velvet on the bottoms of my bare feet. I took in my surroundings and noticed that I was in the company of the most gargantuan, towering trees ones imagination could ever fathom. Their bark paraded around each trunk as if its only job was to absorb every foreign sound and…

My wife as usual prepared a gourmet meal from what seemed too be a can of beans and we started a campfire for the evening. S?mores, ghost stories, and being reminded how beautiful the night sky can be. It all seemed so peaceful. Then came the scream. No One's POV. Izzy is in the medium size oak wood cabin. She is sharpening her sword that is made out of a light metal material and the sword itself is easy to maneuver. She's in a Japanese sitting style on the polished wooden floor of her bedroom, dipping her light silver and blue handled sword into a bucket full of water. She's closely staring at her sword to see if it is clean from the blood that had almost stained it from an earlier mission. The blood from the sword disperses into the once…

The Unknowns Even if I, personally, adore the idea of skyscrapers made out of wood, the sensation of warmth you get when you walk into a wooden building, or all the benefits this planet would have if we would start constructing using wood more often, I cannot ignore the fact that there are many questions to be answered regarding the subject. Questions like, how high can we build or how is the building going to be protected against fire-considering that the main material is wood after all-,…

Elliot Porter is a writer and photographer. He found new ways to present the natural world. When I looked at his pictures, I felt like I was standing right next to him as he was taking the picture. “Path in the Woods,” reminded me of camping with my family when I was a young girl. My mother would take us for long walks in the woods. I remember how quiet everything was and thinking we were the first ones to ever be on the path. When I saw “Path in the Woods,” the path appeared untouched by human…
