The book ‘six impossible things’ by Fiona Wood is about a boy named Dan who is going through a lot of problems in his life such as ; him finding out his dad is gay, and with that having to move schools and living on an extremely tight budget. The topic I will be discussing is ‘secrets’. The body will be about my thoughts on secrets, and wether it's okay to keep them or not. Another thing that will be discussed is about the quote that dan says ‘what she doesn't know can't hurt her’, and if it's true in my opinion or not.
This paragraph is talking about secrets being okay. In some situations. In some situations keeping a secret can be okay, an example is if someone is being talked about behind their back. You shouldn't tell them because it may hurt their feelings but maybe you could handle the situation a different way. An example in the book is dan not telling his mum the truth about Janie and Estelle going to the social. In the end it works out because dan gets to kiss estelle and that's what he wanted.
