Topic: The wealthy should pay more in taxes to pay for mutually beneficial programs.
We can all agree that the rich have money, right? They have more money than the average person at least, so they need to pay more in taxes. The U.S Census Bureau collected data in 2011 and they noticed that most Americans fall in the category of making between $15,000 to $50,000 a year. A substantial amount of rich people make as much as $200,000 to $250,000 a year. We believe that the rich should pay more in taxes to pay for programs that will help everyone because it’s the fair and right thing to do. They definitely have the money to pay for these programs and we are definitely in need of the money.
Definitions:
According to the U.S. Census Bureau rich people are people make $200,000 or more in their yearly income. These taxes pay for beneficial programs such as Social Security Benefits, Medical Research and Veteran funding.
Value and Criterion: It seems only fair that the rich pay more in taxes because they have more money. Morally it is the right thing do, and as American citizens it is our duty to pay these taxes in order to help and provide for the people in need.

I have been to Los Angeles and to those who haven’t they see it as a popular center that everyone around the world wants to visit. There is a section of LA you probably don’t know about its called Skid Row and this is where the most of the homeless live. The local homeless count is estimated at a range of 3,600 to 5,100. Obviously there is a problem that currently can’t be solved with the lack of funding in the state. Governor Jerry Brown currently supports higher taxes on the rich.
