The Democratic political party originated back to anti-federalist factions, near the time of America’s independence from the British. Democrats are considered to be the left-leaning party. Some famous presidents that have served as Democrats are John F. Kennedy, Franklin Roosevelt, and Woodrow Wilson. The Republican political party is younger of the two, and was created in 1854 by anti-slavery expansion activists. Republicans are considered to be the right-leaning party. Some popular presidents from the Republican Party are: Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, and Ronald Regan. An issue that interests me is the republican stance on gay marriage. The Republicans oppose the idea of gay marriage, while the Democrats are in full support of gay marriage. I’d go with the Republicans on this issue because I am strongly against gay marriage, because gay marriage is against my religious beliefs. Gays may try to argue they are Christian, but the bible states in order to inherit the kingdom of God you must confess your sins to the lord, believe that he is our savior and Lord, and repent from your sins. Gays don’t realize that they have to repent which means to turn away from living that life, because it goes against God’s word.

People constantly talk about how rich people should be taxed and forced to have to pay more, but I disagree with that. Those rich people have done something successful in their life or someone before them has. So, why is it right to take the money of people who have done something incredible in their lives and made millions. Is it right to take somebody’s hard earned (at some point) money just because it’s there to take away?
