James Naismith was born on November 6, 1861 in Almonte, Canada. James Naismith dies on November 28, 1939, 22 days after his birthday. He died in Lawrence, Texas. He invented two things. He invented Basketball and the Football helmet. James went to school at Springfield College, McGill University, The Presbyterian College, Montreal.

James also made up 13 original rules in basketball. The ball may be thrown in any direction with one or both hands. The ball may be batted in any direction with one or both hands, but never with the fist. A player cannot run with the ball. The ball must be held by the hands. The arms or body must not be used for holding it.
Also, No shouldering, holding, pushing, striking or tripping in any way of an opponent. The first infringement of this rule by any person shall count as a foul. A foul is striking at the ball with the fist, violations of Rules 3 and 4 and such as described in Rule 5. If either side makes three consecutive fouls it shall count as a goal for the opponents. A goal shall be made when the ball is thrown or batted from the grounds into the basket and stays there.
Basketball isnt an easy sport. To the best you have to work the hardest. Its a contact sport, need to work out so you don't get beat up under the hoop. You gotta be fast to get up and down the court. Pro basketball
