Growing up I was raised in a competitive family. And basketball was the common sport my family played. When I was around the age of 8 it was my first time holding a basketball and I never let it go. When I was around fifteen I joined the basketball team. When I first joined I felt like an outcast because I didn’t know anybody on the team neither their personality, but over time all of that changed because basketball is something I’m very passionate about and I made it work. I played for the Memphis grizzle community center aka mam’s. When I joined the team I found it was many roles to play and different functions. Some people think it’s just ten people running up and down the court just to score, it’s more than that so I’ve choose to interview a very close friend Michael Smith he’s also my teammate to fully explain the game of basketball because he has many years under his belt. The questions I asked was how do you communicate up and down the court? What are the team’s goal? What kinds of specialized language the team uses? My interviewee Michael Smith state that they are many goals to reach. You got to ask yourself what are goals? Why reaching goals are important and how u can reach them? You have your team goals that make each player to become a better person. One of the main goal we all had was to have fun and become a better player on the court and off the court. He explains by us have fun we will reach goal that we weren’t depending on reaching. And by reaching one goal we will created another one. When we go to practice before we get on the court well all come up with a goal we must reach before the end of the day any if it’s a simple goal. For example, we all made an agreement to come up with a new crossover move. And by coming up with these different goals we have a good chance of furthering our basketball career.
