Volunteerism: The Boy Scouts Of America

I have done several things in order to contribute to my community through volunteerism. One of the biggest things that I was a part of was the Boy Scouts of America, which has a huge foundation on volunteerism. In my troop, I have earned the rank of Eagle Scout, which requires an extensive service project. What I did for my project, was restore an old monkey bar set, and a bleacher, along with building new teeter-tooters for Hasbrouck Park in Hydetown. My Scout troop also was involved in a number of other volunteer works. These acts of volunteerism included road-cleanup in Hydetown, twice a year, cleanup in front of the Hydetown Baptist Church, painting rooms in the church, collecting donations for the Burgess Light Display.
