After World War II, metropolitan sprawl began to take place and a large scale. A number of factors contributed to the phenomenon, such as new more advance forms of communication, wide access to improved forms of transportation, and, most importantly, a boom in population after the conclusion of the war. However, a number of issues emerged from metropolitan growth and sprawl.
One issue that arises from metropolitan grow is inequality of services and living in different areas. As more high income families and individuals move to less populated, metropolitan areas, more focus is put on developing these areas by state governments, causing inner cities to fall behind in regards to infrastructure public services offered, such as education.…
