The region has a high likelihood of black students being suspended from school and a huge difference between white and black graduation rates for students. Becker (2015), states that although the governor in the region flaunted the Wisconsin as a place that has made immense educational gains, black students for the most continued being left out (Cook & Ludwig, 1998). A lot of studies show that Wisconsin has several troubling patterns which are particularly unchanged.
Based on the results which were released in 2015 by NAEP in a number of tests which are referred to as the report card reassured the poor record of Wisconsin in educating black children. The results showed that the state has poor record of educating black children and worst gap of achievement amid white and black students and it was the second time the state had been ranked as the worst. Factors which cause the gap are considered multifaceted and they extend beyond the walls of a classroom (Hedges & Nowell, 1999).
