“Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.” Winston Churchill. Student success is not just about the successes of the student but how the student gets over the obstacles. Obstacles that can be created by the student’s struggles as well as the teacher and materials being used to teach the student. Students’ success can be both long and short termed in referring to whether it is learning the alphabet or graduating from college after many struggles and obstacles. For a successful student requires three elements: a students’ attitude to strive for better, the materials available for a student to succeed and a proper teacher to inspire and encourage the student. "The quality of the relationships that students have in class with their peers and teachers is important to their success in school." A student’s attitude towards their schooling is important, if they have a negative view they will not be able to do their best work. A students’ negative attitude affects their confidence in which in return affects their work and achievements. Many times in classroom situations when a student is struggling it can be linked to the student’s attitude and their views on the subject. If a student doesn’t enjoy or find interest in the subject they may act out or do poorly as they may not have the same enthusiasm as something they are interested in.
