My Transformational Leadership Style

Ultimately, everyone 's idea of what leadership consists of may vary from person to person. According to the transformational leadership style, an effective leader is one who is able to effectively motivate others to inspire and create a vision for both themselves and the overall company (Mindtools, n.d). As managers, the key is to provide a balance to preform both day to day operations as well as stimulate innovation in regards to change within the work environment. Leaders within various organizations seek many different opportunities to get ahead of the industry by change as well as by inspiring the people that they lead.

Professor Bennis differentiated the difference between a leader and a manager stating that " Leaders are people who do the right thing; ,managers and people who do things right." I realized that for me to run a strategic club that is sustainable on campus, that the use of coaching and motivation helps to build a team up instead of feeling as if I am doing it by myself (Mindtools, n.d). Everyone has a different approach on how to handle situations, however, leadership can be defined as the art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do it, according to Dwight Eisenhower.However, an effective leader effectively motivates others by inspiration and to create a vision for both themselves and the overall company (Mindtools, n.d).
