Technology's Negative Effects On Young Children

People all over the world are continuously making advances in technology every day. Young adults are growing up in a world full of this technology and seem to know more about it than older adults. Most children spend countless hours of the day in front of a computer screen and are missing out on all the joys of being young. They are wasting their days away playing video games and scrolling through social media. Modern culture is making children lethargic because they are so corrupted by technology. Kids tend to stay inside on computers and phones instead of playing with siblings or going outside. The world is beautiful, and children are missing all of it. Young kids have their faces glued to computer screens and are not making any memories with family and friends. The only “family time” they experience is eating dinner for roughly thirty minutes, and then everyone goes straight back to electronics. Technology is like a drug to children. It gives them a way to escape all their troubles and worries of real life. Once they start playing a game or scrolling through social media, they do not want to put it down. Technology is taking over the minds of young kids. The generation before was raised playing in the dirt and working hard for what they want. This generation has been raised playing on computers and tablets and getting everything handed to them. Modern culture is in fact ruining the way children are being raised. This could be fixed by setting restrictions on kid’s phone time. Parents can give children chores and force them to get a job when they get of age. Children need to be taught responsibility. Parents should not allow their children to be on the internet all the time, but set limits and make their kids spend time without
