Is Modern Culture Ruining Childhood? Modern culture is exposing children to inappropriate music, websites and social media which affects the child’s thoughts, attitudes, and social connections towards their parents. Technology is helpful, but too much exposure is dangerous for children especially because their brains aren’t fully developed yet. Modern culture also affects a children’s friendships and relationships with their loved ones because they spend too much time on technology rather than spending time with them. Modern culture and or technology towards a child’s childhood at young age should be monitored by an adult and reduced time sessions. Technology cannot only ruin a child's childhood memories but also it harms their health from exposure to violence which can lead to depression and putting their safety at a risk. That is one reason why modern culture should be monitored by an adult because the internet is a very dangerous for children that don’t know what are the dangers of the internet.
