Student Teaching Essay
Dr. Seuss famously said, “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.” That quote has stuck with me since I was a senior in high school. My favorite teacher encouraged me to push myself further in my education and professional career. Now, through the long temperament boulevard of hard work, I can see the finish line in arm’s reach. I expect to experience at numerous of things during student teaching like preparation, classroom management, develop communication skills with students, staff administration, and parents. During this period, I will learn to engage success, reflect learning, collaborate, dedicate myself, and be unique. First, I know from first-hand how hard it

I am going to have to get control of my classroom, have my students follow my procedures by using positive reinforcement, and reflective learning of my pedagogy. The students in the classroom come from diverse cultures, so it is important that I am able to teach to every standard for every student. Obtaining control of my classroom will result into a good semester by having the students understand my expectations and theirs. My teaching style will have the students motivated to learn and retain the information. I have to have interactive lesson plans that get the students out of their seats and have a hands on approach to what they are learning other than just drill and kill methods. Through this guided practice of I do, we do, and you do, the students will be able to learn about how to be independent thinkers and comprehend their …show more content…
I expect to use professional communication at all times and always be in the loop with teachers, so I can always have a solution to a problem or if I have a question about something. Students need to know why it is important to learn what I am teaching them and how it can empower their education. I will get better at communicating with parents and staff because I will constantly be providing feedback about students and myself to them. Conducting conferences with students and the school’s staff will mold me into a master teacher as the years come by. My mentor tells me that without communication there would be gaps and that is not a good aspect of your teaching path. As mentioned before, communication will provide a continuous cycle that will help me grow as a future teacher and into a master teacher.
In conclusion, I have been a student of the Ready from Day One Model and I am ready to begin. I cannot wait to take this internship, full time and complete the road I started back in field one. I have the skills to prepare me for the preparation, classroom management and communication. Through my teaching, I will provide engagement through my pedagogy, positive classroom management skills, and conductive work ethic from the feedback of my communication. Just like Dr. Seuss said, I am the one that will make the difference of my future students because there is no one youer than

My cooperating teacher makes this look so easy, but she told me that classroom maintenance is something that I will learn as I progress as a teacher. She mentioned to me that it is all about “knowing my students”. I must say, I agree with the sentiment, because she has students who are so eager to learn, but a select few cause disruptions and can sometimes make the work environment a little hectic. I can already see that this is something that I will have to get adjusted to when I make my transition from student to teacher. I’ve always been the type of person to take on a challenge, and I think my personality will make for a great teacher.…

This gives them ownership and demonstrates their overall commitment. In addition, I plan to always give my students a “heads up” about what is going on. If the schedules, routines, and transitions are planned beforehand and students know what to expect, I will be setting myself up for a classroom with much greater success. Lastly, I was again reminded of the importance of relationships. In my own classroom someday, I will strive to develop connections with each and every one of my students.…

Ways I could apply coherence teaching in my classroom would be to offer a variety of different activities and allow the students to have time to reflect on their learning. I will individually read, study, and research information so I can present my lessons to my students in a way that is easiest for them to learn. I can share with my students that I read and study information to make sure I am knowledgeable about the newest information that is currently out there. I think that team meetings to plan lessons, problem solve, improve performance, and/or learn a new strategy is an integral part of being the best teacher I can be. Therefore, students are able to use each other as a resource; they can ask their peers for help or assistance if they need it, before going to the teacher. Since some students always count on the teacher for help, it is nice for students to help other students. A progressivism approach connects with what methods I want to utilize since the teacher functions as a guide for the students and the lessons connect student’s cooperative work and projects (Hall, Quinn & Gollnick, 2014). Assessments and evaluations are an important part of the education culture we work in. As an administrator, my teachers will follow my lead to develop a culture learning, only when they see that I am willing to put a priority on what we are teaching and evaluating in the classrooms. Throughout this week, the importance of what we do as educators has been reiterated and the classroom learning, through group projects, research paper, and disaggregating data has helped prepare me for the challenges. Life-long learners develop through growing, adapting, and increasing in knowledge. This class has helped me to grow, through learning to develop a research paper and use data for specific purposes.…
