“Being a good student is less about the ability to rote and more about the desire to learn”. There may be a few people who live and repeat that quote every day; sad to say Kelton McGee is not one of those people. All people can be good successful students, if they try hard and use self discipline to push them self harder. If you are a person who wants to keep your life on track, it takes hard work, determination, and patience. Everyone wants to be successful until it’s time to do the things that successful people do. Succeeding in school can be easy for some people, but for those who struggle and don’t believe in themselves it can be a long road to understand how to become successful not only in school but in life. One thing u may have to avoid as a student is distractions. There are numerous of things in school that can get your minds attention and cause it to be focused on any and everything else but your goals. Successful students do not allow distractions to get the best of them because they know they have way to much to lose. Social media has always been the number one distraction in school but it’s only a distraction to those who make it one. Procrastination is something very difficult to avoid because its about timing. In college you have all the spare time in the world to play basketball, go bowling, go out to eat, and maybe even a country club (You didn’t hear that last part from me I’m just saying). Successful students do not take that time for granted. They have the mindset that progress is made by completing every task that needs to be done on time. It would be a struggle and a shame for someone to have a panic attack because they decided to start on there work late. Lastly, there are students that successful people avoid. It’s only the ones that are not trying to make a name for themselves. If a student enters any facility and the atmosphere suddenly changes to negative, then the vibe of that person might be something you don’t want to be around. You can spot a class clown quicker than a big boy reacting to an ice cream truck. Surrounding yourself with people who strive to be successful are the ones that desire to
