Once you enter college you will realize that you have a lot of time on your hands. This is a good thing, as it gives you the opportunity to get a job, to be more social, and gives you more time on your hobby. However, if you don’t learn how to manage your time, it can be adverse. Poor time management can lead to bad habits such as procrastination or a bad sleeping schedule. So It 's important to know how to administer your schedule, because if you don’t, it will ultimately stop you from being the best student and person you can be.
A main problem that many freshmen face is, procrastinating a lot. Procrastination is postponing a task or job for later. As a student, I have experienced this many times, when i 'm working on an assignment, I get distracted by my phone, television, or anything. And, I’m always doing my homework at the last-minute. As a result of procrastinating, the work is not done properly or is as good, if I had worked on it earlier. And I usually end up rushing my work and doing it last minute. There are many viable solutions for this annoying problem that we all face. First thing we can do is make a schedule. Knowing when your assignments are due, really lets you see how much time it will take to complete it and if you can do it in one sitting. And if it 's not possible to complete in one day, then break it up into individual sessions. If you have a really long paper that is due next week, due a little bit each day and that way it won 't seem as long or stressful.
