A counter argument may be that non-LD students are classified as LD, but in actuality are just are lazy and do not put forth an effort. That is not always the case. It has been proven that this is not true. There was a research where LD students that were recognized by the school as LD were compared to non-LD students who were not recognized. Although the scores were similar, forty percent of the students had a possibility of being classified incorrectly. Their results indicated that schools are not identifying the right LD students or there are too many non-LD students that are being put into the category of LD.

Most of the time, the teachers say that students do not try hard enough, or do not care about school, but in reality a student CAN care, but just cannot retain information. Their teachers may give them as much help as they can, but many students still find it hard to do a lot of work at once.

Students need to be separated because they do not all learn at the same speed. It might be said that by low

One thing that separate high achievers from low achievers is that high achievers are more successful. High achievers are above average while low achievers are scoring mediocre. When a low achiever has a learning disability it is not easy for them to score higher than others. High achievers have practicing habits that help them when they are studying or during class, whereas low achievers have not even made habits to practice with. It is not because they do not think that they need them, but because they do not know how to make them. High achievers tend to “strike the iron while it is hot” (10 Traits). By the time low achievers strike the iron has already cooled. People may get that confused with procrastination. Low achievers do not have time to procrastinate. They have to try too hard.
