An experience that has happened to me that will help me with my goals in school would be my time in the military. While I was in the military I learned that using time wisely, making smart choices and improved my reading and writing skills. Using time wisely is one of the most important things you can do. If you waste your time you can get so far behind that you fail. I have never been a failure and don’t plan to start anytime soon.…
I must become devoted to my goals and promise them my loyalty. I plan on graduating from Warren Early College High School with my high school diploma and my Associates’ Degree in Arts and Science. This will take me a step forward in my education and hopefully to have someone special to share my successful career with. As of now, I am attending Warren Early College High School and planning on graduating with my high school diploma.…
I believe that University of Alabama’s Early College program will help me achieve my college goals because it will give me a taste of what is to come and preparation for the future. Over the years, I've become very interested in the medical field and I would like to become a pediatric surgeon. As you may already know, pursuing this career requires almost a decade of education in and out of the classroom. This is an excellent way to take as many college classes in high school as I can so I can enjoy college and have an easier experience once enrolled as a full-time student. If I was to be accepted into this prestigious program I would work to the best of my abilities to be successful.…
Success Strategies In order to be successful in my college career, I will need to build a strong and trustworthy relationship with all of my professors. To begin the relationship between my instructor and I, I will personally greet all of my professors every class. In addition, I will always treat the instructors with respect inside and outside of the classroom; I am confident that this will help build a strong relationship with each of my professors.…
My plans are still on the cloudy side, but I have some set ideas on what I wish to do. Since the beginning, I have always worked hard in my education to be at the very top. I plan to graduate high school with honors and have completed some college required courses. My ACT goal has been reached already, but I am hoping that the next time I take it that I will get even higher. With my outstanding GPA and ACT score, I hope to obtain a good amount of scholarships from my colleges of interest and other scholarship providers so I can afford college.…
Going to college for just a piece of paper that shows an individual’s ability to be motivated is unheard of. The choice of a student to just skate by in college will definitely show in the real world job market. A person might be able to fake his way through college but faking his way through a career would be much harder. I believe a student in the job market will show his or her abilities during an interview and on the job task. McArdle’s statement “College graduates now make 80 percent more than people who have only a high-school diploma” (25) contradicts his questionable doubt of college worth.…
I decided to continue college to help me accomplish some of my future career goals. Right out of high school I went to a four year university and did not realize the amount of time and effort I was going to have to put into classes to get the grades I need. After realizing this, I made the difficult decision to come home and continue classes at Thomas Nelson. I had not always been persuaded that since I wanted to go into a trade career that college was going to be necessary. After talking to several friend and family members and doing some research, I discovered that not only will going to college benefit me in my career but also my everyday life.…
A long term goal is to live in a nice apartment by myself where it is peace and quiet. I can achieve this goal by completing three important things. One I need to graduate high school by getting enough credits and passing all of my classes. Two, get a great job that pays for my living arrangements and in the future start a career. Three look for a apartment that is satisfying enough for me and i can afford…
Initially, my educational goals were to go to a community college and transfer to a 4 year university, get a degree, and make a lot of money. Now being at DVC for a semester, my goals have changed because of the many different experiences I had and a few of the clubs I have joined in this school. One education goal I have is to learn the subjects I am interested in and apply them to the real world. I came to DVC to also redeem myself and build a habit of becoming a hard worker and push myself to do my very best. Programming in particular has interested me because I practiced it in high school…
All throughout school, I was an average student. I got okay great, but really struggled with assignments. I remember getting so over whelmed by it all that my mom would have to help me with my school work. I would have to say that the grades that I would receive were like ‘speed bumps’ that discouraged me.…
As someone once said, students cannot expect their ways to completely change once they get to college. All of what we have done up until now has set the path for our future educational choices. Some of the goals I plan to achieve while at college are to swim for the Wilkes University Swim Team, receive a master’s degree while majoring in Biology, and become certified in Secondary Education. I include these plans along with others into my future legacy since they are still part of the unknown. I hope to be very impacting on all aspects of my college experiences along with my future employment.…

Each year, Gonzaga receives hundreds of applications. In those applications, I’m sure you’ve read about students who are athletic, enthusiastic, energetic, interactive with their teachers, love learning outside the classroom, or who are students who speak many languages. I strive to be a combination of all these things, and more. I am a student that excels both inside and outside the classroom. I believe that through my educational journey, I will learn what is necessary for me to accomplish my academic and life goals.…
