Growing up with two parents that are extremely successful yet have no college education is remarkably intimidating. When I was young, I would witness my parents effortlessly put food on the table while also providing so much more for our family without an ounce of college education. To hear the laughter and joy in our family made me think as a child that growing up would be a breeze, I sure was in for a rude awakening. It 's not like it once was back in their day of not needing a higher education in order to achieve a well-rounded career, so in order to follow in their footsteps of having a substantial career, I am going to need to a college education. My purpose for pursuing a college education is to begin a career that will allow me to help others while also satisfying my parents expectations. By getting an early start …show more content…
Once I have achieved my associates degree, I will then apply to different nursing programs around the U.S. I would really like to incorporate traveling into my career and I see travel nursing as fitting my needs. Without my college degree, none of this would be made possible and I would be stuck doing labor work the rest of my life. Later down the road, I see myself having a family that is well off financially and being able to spend more time with them than at work. This would also not be possible if I did not withhold a college degree. Earning the amount of money needed to support my future family while also having excess amount of time to spend with them is only possible with higher education. I believe that individuals tend to take higher education for granted and do not realize the many beneficial things that come out of it. Although tuition costs are very intimidating and large, students need to realize that once you have earned the career you having been putting all your time, effort, and money into, it will be worth it in the long
