There are four types of leadership and patterns of management; creative-result leader, team developer-motivator leader, example-encourager leader, and realism-quality leader. From using the interactive graphic provided in this week’s learning resources, among the four types of leaderships and management patterns, my leadership style was an equal balance of the example-encourager leader and the realism-quality leader at 19%. Whereas, I am a creative-result leader at 16% and a team developer-motivator leader at 17%. The example-encourager leader, is a leader that leads by example while also supporting those that follow them; this in turn, encourages those followers to do well under the direction of their leaders (Laureate Education, Inc., 2011). …show more content…
For instance, the strengths of the example-encourager leader is that they provide consistency and can be quit predictable when it comes to their work habits (Laureate Education, Inc., 2011). These are great leadership skills to have because they motivate and inspire those that follow them. It also creates a sense of hope and safety as well. On the other hand, confidence could become a weakness for this type of leader. This is because often times when an individual is comfortable doing something a certain way they do not want to change or may not be open to change. Conversely, the realism-quality leader strengths lies in their ability to put things together through their analytical skills and their weakness would be their lack of flexibility when it comes to being open to new ideas (Laureate Education, Inc., …show more content…
For example, although the goal is to make some changes, as the example-encourager leader, I would continue to use the strength of consistency. It would be used in order to keep the harmony, order, and professionalism on the job. As a realism-quality leader, the strength that would continue to be being supplies is the ability to put things together. For example, while being open and allowing the employees to be heard, the strength can be used to help the leadership group when comes to the making a final and rational
