In the Titan, both the black head coach Herman Boone and the white coach Bill Yoast want what is best for the team, however they disagree with what is the best. Coach Yoast believes that the team should try more complex plays, while coach Boone wants to keep the simpler plays.
Solution of this dispute is shared leadership between Boone and Yoast. Under shared leadership, two coaches can use shared leadership to solve their inner conflicts. Cause of racism can be complicated, but solutions are relatively simple. Solving the racism problem require merging two cultures together. Putting recommendation into action should focus on two universal characteristics of all human in particular.
The first character is rationality. People always weight cost and benefit to maximize their interest. Thus, what coaches can do is to increase players’ workload in everyday training. Heavy workload will break down the standing culture differences and force trainees to become more pragmatic on collaborating with each other.
The second characteristic is fear of unknown. Segregation had a long history in the US. The policy has caused many misunderstandings and fear between races. So as to overcome the problem, Yoast and Boone can let white and black players live in same residence during camping.
