Cell Phones are a rising priority in our day to day lives. We use them to talk to our peers. We use them to stay updated on social media, and we use them to stay informed on news. In the past few years cell phones have moved their way into the classroom, and this has become a cause for concern because students are being more and more distracted by their phones. While phones can benefit students in the classroom and support learning, the negative consequences seem to outweigh the potential benefits of having phones in the classroom.
