Performance-enhancing drugs are unscrupulous and should not be taken or used. There are many downfalls to taking anabolic steroids, and the first one that will be mentioned is that the use of performance-enhancing drugs (anabolic steroids) may lead to some grim health problems that many people don’t even take into consideration before the abuse of the drug. The second downfall to be declared is going to talk about the reason many people still use performance-enhancing drugs even though they are illegal, but the use of performance-enhancing drugs is a trending thing, thus more and more people are getting into trouble. A big reason performance-enhancing drugs are prohibited in sports is in the title of the name “performance enhancing.” They are a source of cheating and unfairness:
We should all agree that athletes who use outlawed performance-enhancing drugs are cheating. They are breaking the rules and giving themselves an unfair advantage… some have wanted to outlaw performance-enhancing drugs because the create inequalities among athletes. They’re expensive and not everyone can afford them (Beck).
Many people don’t think that performance enhancing drugs are unfaithful or cheating, but it should be evident that using them is deceitful. Whether you are playing a board game, or running a race, the only reason someone feels the need to cheat is to gain a competitive advantage over others.
