Life begins with the moment of conception and ends with death. From the moment of conception every human life matters, but abortion says differently. When a mother is contemplating on having an abortion she is not considering the type of life that her child could have. Abortion is considered the “death penalty” for an innocent child simply because the parents were not ready for a child or the parents did not want a baby. The main people who are affected in this matter are the parents of the unborn baby, and the unborn baby. Mothers who have abortions often feel bad about it later and regret ever having it. There are two types of abortion a spontaneous abortion and an induced abortion. A spontaneous abortion is a natural miscarriage that happens when the baby is in the womb and at a certain number of weeks. An induced abortion is the deliberate killing of an unborn child. When people talk about abortion they are mainly talking about an induced abortion. When a baby is first conceived the child is known as a zygote. A zygote is when a baby is in its early stages of development. An embryo is until the eighth week of development. A fetus is from nine weeks until the day of the baby’s birth.
In the years of 1996 to 2011 fifty three million babies were aborted in the United States. In 2013 nine hundred and eighty four thousand babies were legally aborted, and in 2012 1.02 million babies were killed. The overall states that have the highest abortion rates include: California,…
