Let’s face it, the business industry is one of the largest monopolies an individual can incorporate themselves in. Since the beginning of time, whether it was selling lemonade at a stand in the hot sun, or mining for coal, to creating designs for large clothing and shoe company 's, business is being made. When we think of business, it is not unusual for one to come to the visualization of a white male in a black suit, simply because this is the stereotype that our society has been built upon. It is not often we hear in the media about females in the corporate office. Following those stereotypes, we mainly hear about the males who have recently taken a position as a Chief Executive Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, or even a Co-Founder of a production. We never hear about the first woman marketing manager, or first female CEO in a large firm, because of the fact that women are a minority in the business world. Our culture has yet to shed light on the females in the industry who are progressing as society advances. Over the past 20 years, we have mainly witnessed white males as being the majority representation in the business industry; In this paper, I will talk about why women are the minority in the business world and how that is changing as our society advances.
