Texting while driving is defined as the act of composing, sending, reading text messages, email, or making other similar use of the web on a mobile phone while operating a motor vehicle. Mobile devices has had some unintended and even dangerous consequences. Distracted driving results in injury and loss of life. Distracted driving is any activity that could divert a person 's attention away from the primary task of driving. Texting while driving is a bad idea because distracted driving endangers life and property, which is unacceptable. Texting while driving creates crash risk 23 times worse than driving and not texting. Texting while driving is endangering a person’s life, including yours. Texting while driving is considered dangerous by many people. It is also very dangerous to yourself. In some places, it has been outlawed or restricted, which is a good idea. Texting while driving has become a major problem because of the popularity of smartphones. The more creative our smartphones get, the more we are anxious to use them at any time possible. 11% of drivers who were involved in an automobile accident and survived, have admitted that they were sending texts when they crashed. Texting while driving is a fatal thing to do and is a bad idea to endanger the life of yourself and to endanger the life of someone else driving on the road.
