Introduction
With so many elements within a given organization sometimes semantics get into the way of success. Don’t do anything without my say becomes a problem within the team process. This can slow down productivity. When a organization is competing with other organizations this slow down becomes seriously problematic. So how does an organization combat these types of semantics? This is done through the formulation of temporary teams. With temporary teams people are selected from different areas of an organization and have consent from their higher ups to make decisions and get things done. With the diversity of the team issues are a forgone conclusion. There needs to be a time in which team members can explain their positions and fears and have those issues respected and met with some form of solution. By doing this team leaders institute a sense of trust and respect into group members and establishes a firm bond to solving the problem.
Clarifying Goals
In this phase the team becomes one entity. Now that all parties have had their issues and fears assessed the goal is to define a central mission. By establishing a central mission everything created starts from this place. Everyone is the group solves problems with a firm construct in place to provide solutions. The forming of mission allows all members to engage the process of problem solving and not semantic issues that existed prior to defining the process.
Temporary Teams and the Organization
The diversity and formulation of temporary teams is essential to an organization. When these teams are formed properly members leave the teams with new found understanding of other processes that were foreign to them. Healthy respect is built upon and organizational members take the process with them into their given department.
